Here are a couple of ideas of how to create your own rhyming verse for wording for birth announcements. If you have a girl, how about:

“Our love’s unfurled, we have our girl…”
-or-
“Our heart’s a’ twirl, we’ve got our girl…”
-or-
“She’s a gem, she’s a pearl, she’s a joy, she’s a girl!”

Now a couple of ideas for a son:

“Well, son of a gun! We got a son!”
-or-
“Yahoo! The color is blue. We wanted a son, we got two!”

Now you can try it and have some fun. And remember, the wording for birth announcements does not have to rhyme. It really just needs to express your joy and happiness at the birth of your child.
