Wedding Invitation Wording

Wedding invitation wording is very important especially when couples choose to use blank wedding invitations to announce their wedding. The invitation wording provides all of the information that an invited guest may need to attend the ceremony, so the wording must perfectly reflect the information that they need to know. The wording chosen for the wedding invitations will change depending on a number of factors. The available styles and wording should be looked over carefully before printing the wedding invitations to ensure that no typos or unpleasant surprises will occur.

The wedding invitation wording is dependent on who is hosting the wedding. The hosts of the wedding may be the bride and groom, the bride’s parents, the groom’s parents, the couple and their parents, or the bride and groom’s parents. There are even special provisions to be made in the wording if one set of parents are divorced or a parent is deceased. Examples of all different versions of the wording that can be used for these situations may be found online. The types of wording should be carefully reviewed to ensure you are using the right invitation wording and no one will be offended.

The tone of the wedding invitation wording should reflect the tone of the wedding as well. If the wedding is going to be formal with a traditional ceremony, then the words on the invitations should be formal in tone. If the wedding is going to be a casual affair, then the wording of the invitations should be more casual. Invitees that receive your wedding invitation are going to take their cues on how to dress and prepare for the wedding from how wedding invitation is worded. If the tone of the wording does not match the tone of the wedding, it will result in an awkward situation for many of the wedding guests.

Wedding invitation wording seems like such a small thing to worry about compared with all of the other things you have to do to prepare for a wedding, but the tone of the wedding invitation has the potential to ruin a wedding. Paying attention to the tone, style, and content of the wedding invitation can ensure that everyone will be comfortable and that no one will be offended. Choosing the proper wording is not hard and spending a few minutes ensuring that the they are correct will help make the special day even better.
