Mothers Day Present

What is the best Mothers Day present? Well, as any mother will tell you, the very best present they ever received was that tiny, helpless being that made them a mother. The moment they first held their new baby they held the best gift they could ever have hoped to receive.

The next present for Mothers Day that comes into play after the best Mothers Day gift is the photo birth announcement the new mother sends to each of her friends and family members. This is her gift to them, sharing with those near and far the image of her best Mothers Day present.

These photo birth announcements are even better when the photo is actually one of both mother and baby. For those recipients who live far away, these birth announcements let them see both the new baby and how well the mother is doing since the birth.

Of course with the advent of webcams and email, a photo birth announcement may seem a bit passé. However, that thought couldn’t be more wrong! I cannot tell you how many new grandmothers and aunts, even grandfathers and uncles treasure those picture birth announcements. But I can tell you that many of them have proudly asked me to look at the picture of their darling grandchild and daughter or sister.

I’ve also noticed a great number of photo birth announcements proudly displayed on a mantle in a silver frame. Others choose to use a magnetic picture frame to mount the treasured birth announcement to the front of the refrigerator…a lovely way to have a constant reminder of the new addition to the family.

If you are expecting your baby between the end of March and the first of May, you might want to consider sending a photo birth announcement as your Mothers Day present this year. You will have received your best Mothers Day gift and can now share with those you love the perfection of your precious baby.
