We asked some friends to tell us about the funniest baby photo they had ever seen. While we didn’t get any actual photos submitted, the descriptions don’t require much imagination to produce a smile.
One of the most common themes in these funniest baby photo descriptions was food. It appears that a sure guarantee of a funny baby photo is to combine an infant and food…any kind of food. So if you want to take funny baby photos, put your baby in his high chair, place some food on the tray in front of him and grab the camera…the fun is about to start!
- The funniest baby photo I have ever seen was of my little baby brother. I was 12, he was 1. He was so exhausted from all the excitement that he fell asleep - and landed right in the birthday cake that was setting atop his highchair. His little Easter suit (he turned one about the same time), all pretty black and white before, was now pink and orange and brown - the animals and flowers were a funny pastel mix of colored icing. His little blond hair was coated with frosting, as was the side of his face. Most of the guests thought it completely hilarious; my aunt took the picture. My mother was mortified. Best thing was that he was so tired that neither the tumble into the cake nor the flash woke him up. I don't know what was funnier - the colors on his suit, the cake, or the sheer incongruity of the guest of honor sleeping on his cake. I don't think many of the guests ate cake that day.
- The new thing now is on baby's first birthday to sit them in front of a cake and let them go at it. Again my aunt does this at her photography business and it's so funny to see how they react to a cake just sitting there that they can demolish.
- I recently saw a photograph taken of a baby while he was eating what looked like pureed carrots. He did not like them and was making the funniest looking gagging/frowning face, and that was on the photo.
- The funniest baby photo I have ever seen was of a baby boy who fell asleep while eating spaghetti O's. His head was covered in reddish orange sauce and there were little O’s all over him. Fell asleep with his head in the bowl.
- The funniest baby picture I ever saw was a picture of a baby who had gotten into a cream pie. The cream was all over his hands face and head, and even on the cat that was also in the picture. The baby was looking up towards the camera looking very innocent and the cat just looked sad, kind of like 'help me'.
As you can see, food and babies seem to produce some of the most hilarious baby photos. Of course, not all of the funniest baby photo submissions were about food.
