Creative Photo Birth Announcements

Some of the most creative photo birth announcements have come from the imaginations of parents themselves. Personally some of the cutest involve the baby and the family pet. I remember one in particular that showed a huge dog lying on the carpet next to a tiny newborn. They were lying head to head and both were sound asleep. It was precious.

We asked some of our friends to submit some of their ideas for creative photographic birth announcements.

1. One idea is to have a close-up shot of the baby's face pasted on a circular tag that is attached by a short string through a hole punch on the front of the card (pink for girls, blue for boys), and have the baby's stats on the inside.
   
2. Another cute one I've seen is shot of a baby on his back on a white blanket in a white onesie. Then the image is modified into a sepia image. The photo is pasted on the inside of the card, and on the outside there are little square cutouts so you can see a hand and a foot from the picture, and there is a little poem like "Little hands, little feet, a baby's here, oh how sweet".
   
3. I have seen a photo of a newborn wrapped in a blanket, and the birth information was transposed onto the blanket in an edit program.
   

Some of the creative photo birth announcements use photos taken by a professional baby photographer. These professional baby photographers have a talent for creative baby photos.
