Creative Baby Shower Games

Creative baby shower games are usually used as ice breakers during the first few minutes of a baby shower. Often the guests will be unacquainted with each other and these simple and fun games are just a way to get everyone to loosen up and relax.

After a couple of creative baby shower games, most guests will be laughing and easily chatting back and forth. The fun and merriment will then usually carry on through out the remainder of the baby shower.

Here are some ideas for baby shower games.

Baby Gift Bingo

Print up blank bingo cards. Each guest fills in their card with different items that they think the mom-to-be might get as gifts. Later, as the gifts are opened, the guests mark off those gifts on their cards. The first person to get BINGO wins a prize.

Candy Bar Trivia

Ask the guests new-mom trivia questions using the names of candy bars as the answers. The first person to get the answer right wins that particular candy bar. Buy a variety of candy bars and let their names inspire your questions! Question examples: “time to buy new diapers” = Payday, or “what you hear when your baby laughs during the pastor’s closing prayer” = Snickers. Anyway, you get the idea!

What’s On the Tray?

Show a tray of baby supplies for a few minutes and then put it aside. Ask the guest to write down as many of the items they can remember.

Guess the Contents

Take several small baby items (bottles, diapers, pacifier, etc) and place each item into a separate numbered brown paper bag. Each guest will have a list numbered with however many bags you have. Pass each bag around the room and instruct the guests to squeeze, shake, etc in order to guess the items in each bag and then list it next to the corresponding number. The person with the most correct guesses wins, and after the contents are revealed, the mom gets to keep the items.

After the creative baby shower games have stimulated everyone’s appetites, you may want to invite them to partake of the baby shower food.
