Unlike birth gemstones, birth month flowers have special meanings or express specific messages. Additionally, there are usually two flowers each month than can be selected and a couple of different colors. When sending someone flowers for their birthday consider sending those flowers that represent their specific birth month.

If you want to really impress a new mother who is a true flower lover, send those flowers that are specific to her baby’s birth month. Presented in an appropriate vase or container each month’s flower will not only express your congratulations but an additional message, such as:

April Daisy or Sweet Pea yellow, red or colorless blissful pleasure, innocence, youth, purity, departure or goodbye
