• One of the nicest -- and most well-received -- baby shower gifts for mom is the clothesline. It's not so much what you give, but the presentation. You purchase a number of clothing items and try to vary them as much as possible -- pants, socks, onesies, pajamas -- whatever you want to include. Then you take all of the items and use clothespins to attach them to a piece of clothesline -- exactly as they would look if you were hanging them out to dry. Gently fold the clothesline into a large gift bag, pinning the end of the line on the outside of the bag. At the shower, Mom-to-be pulls out the line and ends up having to stretch it out to view all of the new goodies baby is receiving. It's fun to do and is a very attractive way to present your gift.
