The best games start out with laughter. They make all guests feel most comfortable most of the time, and they give guests an opportunity to help the new mother-to-be somehow.

Baby Shower Game 1 - Address the Thank You Notes

Any game that helps the mother-to-be is number one. Pass out thank you envelopes with colored markers and stickers. Ask each guest to write their own address on the Thank You Note. Stuff each envelope first with a small candy bar so everyone gets a prize. As an extra, shift the notes one person to the right and have that person write the best parenting tip they heard at the party on the back of the envelope.

Baby Shower Games 2 - Guess the Number of Jelly Beans in the Baby Bottle

Fill large baby bottle with tiny jelly beans, enough for everyone to enjoy. Display the baby bottle at the entrance and ask each guest to guess how many jelly beans are in the bottle. Pass the baby bottle around to give out a handful that each guest counts and can eat. Add the totals and give the winner a prize.

Baby Shower Games 3 - Most Unusual Baby Name

Each guest comes up with her most unusual baby name. Add the name of the family pet she had as a child with the name of the street her house was on at the age of ten.

Baby Shower Games 4 - Journal scrapbook of Love & Support

Weeks before the shower arrives, pass around a scrapbook asking guests to write cherished memories of childhood and parenting tips no mom should live without. Attach pictures or other special mementos to create a keepsake from all the new mother's closest friends. Be sure to include an address page that stragglers at the shower can fill in.  Ask Mom to read a few selections at the shower.

Baby Shower Game 5 - Diaper News

Pass out disposable diapers to each guest along with colored, permanent and non-toxic markers. Ask each guess to write what they wish someone would have told them at 3am when the baby's diaper needs to be changed.
