When you ask for people for suggestions for baby shower games one has to be prepared for games that seem to focus on diapers and their contents. Some of the diaper-related games suggested by our friends online were fairly innocuous, although there was at least one that was a little questionable. See what you think:
Diapers Baby Shower Games:
- I like the game where you smear a melted mini-candy bar in a diaper and the guests pass the diapers around and try to guess the candy bar by smelling and tasting the mess.
- What did the baby eat? Take at least 7 diapers and 7 different baby foods and put just enough in the diaper. Then let everyone smell the diaper and guess what the baby had to eat. It’s fun and easy and the one who guesses the most right wins.
- This may be in poor taste amongst prissy guests, but I thought it was very funny at my baby shower. My sisters made the party favors out to be tiny little diapers folded up and fastened with safety pins, with mints in the diaper. At the end of the shower, they asked for each guest to look in the bottom of the diaper for "poop." (It was actually brown mustard!) The winner got the grand door prize.
- One of my favorite baby shower games is called "Poopy Diaper." You fill a diaper with beans and sealed it up. The diaper is passed from person to person who writes on a slip of paper how much they think the diaper weighs. At the end, the diaper is weighed on a scale. The person with the closest guess as to how much the "poop" in the diaper weighed is the winner!
Miscellaneous Baby Shower Games:
- What are the proper names of the baby animals
- Diaper the balloon with cloth diaper and pins to see who doesn’t pop their pretend baby.
- Find the diaper pins in a bowl of rice. It's much harder than it sounds.
- Cut a piece of string so it equals the size of mommy's tummy.
- Guess mom’s weight
